Henry Flagler had the vision to create Standard Oil when very few cars existed in the early 1900's; he later built a railroad through a mosquito infested swamp and is largely credited with creating modern day Florida. Benjamin Graham's family lost their great fortune in the Financial Crisis of 1908 when he was a young boy, he then dedicated his life to developing a common sense set of investment principles that he outlined in The Intelligent Investor to help others avoid a similar fate; he was largely credited as being the founder of value investing. Warren Buffett found a copy of the Intelligent Investor in his local library when he was 18 and sought Graham out at Columbia Business School. Buffett later became Graham's investment partner and ultimately became the most successful investor of our time.

Building wealth often requires a unique vision, perseverance and hard work. While there may be many paths to building wealth, the paths to successfully preserving it are few. Flagler Trust, the vision to build wealth - the intelligence to preserve it.
